Don't miss out on the biggest free thrift shop of the year! Donate your secondhand items, or just stop by to pick up things you need and help WSU keep reusable items out of the landfill. Here's how it works:

On January 14th from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM in Shephard Union Ballroom A, students, faculty, and staff are invited to drop off their secondhand items where our volunteers will collect and weigh them.

On January 15th from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM bring your reusable bags to Ballroom A! We invite everyone on campus to stop by and pick up items they need free of charge. Any items left at the end of the day will be donated.

*Hours are subject to change based on volunteer availability.

We can accept:

- Backpacks and purses
- Bed & bath items
- Books & media
- Clothing & shoes
- Electronics
- Exercise & sporting goods
- Games & toys
- Houseware
- Small Appliances
- Small furniture

Items we can NOT accept include

large appliances
automobile parts
construction materials
damaged furniture
flammable or hazardous materials
food
infant products
mattresses
TV & computer monitors
weapons

Requirements

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:

Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.
