About

Mission: To support, inform and empower all victims a as they participate in the criminal justice system, by providing emotional and informational assistance. 

Description of Organizations: The Davis County Attorney's Victim Services provides emotional and informational support to victims during court proceedings, including trial and sentencing. Volunteers who are interested in working and advocating for victims of crime will receive great job experience in the criminal justice system by assisting staff advocates in the following ways: reviewing police reports to identify victims and assess immediate needs, helping victims determine and obtain monetary reimbursement for losses incurred directly as a result of the crime, assisting staff with file set-up and composing case status notification and disposition letters.
