Help Install Smoke Detectors in the Community

This makes a great group activity and can be tailored to your group!  We do this activity year-round and would love any students who want a volunteer opportunity to consider this.  We will take both long-term(six months or more) and short-term( only need a few hours for a class) volunteers.

What you will be doing.....

You will be making homes and families in your community safer by checking and installing smoke detectors for free in any homes where they are requested.  Additionally, you will do fire safety education for the family and leave them with information to review.   This is done in team's of 2-3 people and makes a great group activity.   If you have a group project for  4 students or 8 students or whatever, we can work around the days that work for you to volunteer!

Please reach out early regarding this project as we need at least a 2-week advance notice and sometimes up to a month to plan the project and get local families appointments for the dates you want.
