About
Wildcats are going green! WSU football and basketball are taking on WSU's goal of going zero-waste. Now, the Sustainable Clubs are looking for volunteers to help implement recycling at home games.
Volunteers will assist in setting up recycling bins at given stations around the stadium and monitoring them, ensuring that they do not get contaminated with items that belong in the landfill. This will help educate fans on recycling and its importance. At the end of the game, volunteers will help pick up the remaining bottles and cans from the stands and dump the liquids into buckets to prepare the recyclables for pick up.
What: As a volunteer, you will help station recycling bins around the stadium, monitor them for contamination, and clean up excess cans and bottles left around the stadium after fans clear out.
When: September 7th @ 6:00 PM (See 4 additional dates below)

Requirements
Training sounds daunting but don't sweat it! Volunteering will require a short briefing on recycling practices at WSU as well as an overview of our Game Day strategy. WSU's Zero Waste Coordinator, Alli Brown, will quickly provide this information before the game begins.
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
If you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we ask you not to register. We are doing all we can to align with best practices and keep our community healthy.

Perks
All volunteers will receive a concessions voucher and will get to watch the game before and between half-time, as well as near the end of the game. Volunteers will also be invited to the end-of-year Sustainability Awards Ceremony. Those who invest the most volunteer hours will be nominated for a sustainability award.
